Tafe is the system's center of academic achievement and formal arbitration. Great academies structure Tafe's society, produce most of the system's scholars, and operate as neutral arbitration services for disputes between worlds. All four peoples are equally represented.
Tafe graduates are disproportionately represented in every extremist faction in the system, a fact the Grand Academy Convocation attributes to the quality of their education and no other cause.

The premier institution for Void Walker training in the system. Tafe's neutrality makes it the safest place to train for travel through a dimension that kills the unprepared.
A faction of Tafe graduates who left, saw what was happening in the system, and came back convinced the academies are failing to teach what actually matters. They teach unsanctioned courses. The Convocation is aware.
Every significant off-world power maintains a patron council that funds academy research in exchange for influence over curriculum. The Neutrality Commission has opinions about this that it expresses carefully.
An alumni organization that coordinates between graduates who have become extremists in various factions. They share methods, not ideology. They are the most dangerous alumni network in the system.
